NACEN LOS ROJOS DEL MUNICIPAL
En 1936 de los talleres del entonces Ayuntamiento Municipal, trabajadores de esa dependencia decidieron formar un equipo de futbol al cual llamaron Municipal. Ante la euforia, tuvieron el apoyo de las autoridades edilicias y de paso se les brindó un campito para sus juegos de práctica al cual llamaron Campo Municipal.
Don "Meme" Carrera gran responsable de que exista Municipal.
Primer Municipal de la historia.
En 1938 obtuvo su ascenso a la máxima división, habiendo sido su premio el subcampeonato de liga.
Equipo de Municipal, que obtuvo el ascenso a la liga Mayor en 1938.
En el torneo oficial de 1942 ganó su primer campeonato de liga, donde ya se daba a conocer como todo una gran goleador, el delantero Carlos ¨Pepíno¨ Toledo.
